Meet the Characters
They’re funny, they’re weird, and they’re probably up to something.
Meet the faces and personalities that bring Silly Street to life.

Ernie
Ernie is Silly Street’s resident mischief machine. When he is not glued to his Nintendo or demolishing a pizza, he is finding new ways to annoy Elmo. He shares an apartment with his best friend Bert and keeps him constantly on alert because no one ever knows what Ernie is up to next.
Bert
Bert is the steady force keeping Silly Street from falling apart. Serious, thoughtful, and often one step from losing his patience, his dream is simply a calm, cheerful neighborhood. He enjoys oatmeal and reading, but spends most of his time dealing with Ernie’s antics.
Elmo
Elmo is the lovable and innocent heart of Silly Street. He loves strawberries, his fish Dorothy, and his prized rocket toy. As the youngest resident, he is always learning, always playing, and always crying when things upset him.

Cookie Monster
Cookie Monster lives for cookies. He is one of the most easygoing residents of Silly Street and spends his days lounging around with cookies always within reach. Chocolate chip is his favourite, but he will happily devour any flavour he can find.
Oscar the Grouch
Oscar the Grouch is authentic and never tries to be anything he is not. He was born and raised a true grouch and is proud of it. He mostly keeps to himself and prefers to watch what unfolds in the neighborhood rather than join in.
Big Bird
Oh Big Bird. If Cookie Monster’s cookie obsession is impressive, Big Bird’s love for bird seed is on an entirely different level. He may not be the brightest bird on the block, but he means well and always looks on the bright side of life, especially when bird seed is involved.

Mr. Hooper
Kermit the Frog
The Count
If Silly Street has a father figure, it is Mr. Hooper. Kind and dependable, he looks out for everyone by providing warm meals and keeping a close eye on anything that could bring trouble. He runs his store with pride and puts his heart into serving the community. Many see him as the quiet guardian angel of the street, and it is no surprise that everyone loves him.
Oh Kermit, where do we begin. He seems gentle and friendly at first glance, but behind that smile sits a delusional frog with a strong desire for power. After running Muppet Land, he decided that Silly Street should be his next kingdom, although every takeover attempt has ended in spectacular failure. His classic “everything will work out on its own” line earns more eye rolls than reassurance.
The Count, once famous for his passion for numbers, now finds himself trapped in a bizarre villain arc. An unfortunate mishap with Mr. Hooper, the sun, and pumpernickel bread sealed his spirit inside a painting, leaving him plotting his escape from within the frame. He is now considered a threat, using every trick he knows to return to the real world.

Officer Gordon
Peter & MJ
The Building
“The law demands it” is Officer Gordon’s guiding principle. He is a steady, no nonsense presence on Silly Street and arrives the moment things get out of hand. Whatever the situation, Officer Gordon is always ready to help.
Peter and MJ are the newest members of the neighborhood. They live in a small apartment complex next door and have quickly become a positive addition to Silly Street. Coincidentally, there has been a recent rise in Spider Man sightings around the block. It seems Peter and Spidey must be close acquaintances.
What many people do not realize is that the building itself is alive and has a voice of its own. On rare occasions Sesame Street the building communicates with others, usually when chaos reaches a level it cannot ignore. It cares deeply for the residents but has little patience for nonsense, often reminding everyone to behave when things spiral out of control.
